Fakeroversy
I first heard this term used on the Armstrong and Getty radio show. It seems very appropriate and I think should be added to the dictionary. My definition is below:
fake·ro·ver·sy Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[fake-ruh-vur-see; Brit. also fake-rov-er-see]
1. a made up prolonged public dispute, debate, or contention; disputation concerning a matter of opinion. Generally used to sway public opinion to align them with your own political views
2. fake contention, strife, or argument
