Fakeroversy

I first heard this term used on the Armstrong and Getty radio show. It seems very appropriate and I think should be added to the dictionary. My definition is below:

fake·ro·ver·sy   Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[fake-ruh-vur-see; Brit. also fake-rov-er-see]

1. a made up prolonged public dispute, debate, or contention; disputation concerning a matter of opinion. Generally used to sway public opinion to align them with your own political views

2. fake contention, strife, or argument
