The Biggest Lie
Many people have heard about the three biggest lies of all time. If
you google for a list of the three biggest lies, you will get varying
lists depending on how vulger or how clean the author is trying to be.
But in almost all cases you will see the following phrase:
I'm from the government and I'm here to help you.
It seems like the majority of Americans knows about and can relate to this concept. And yet when all those political candidates (Barack Obama) stand up and say vote for me because I'm going to help you! We believe them. When they say I want to raise taxes to help you, we believe them. When they say we need to increase the size of the government to help you, we believe them!
Why is it when someon says, "You don't need governemt to help you." people view them with suspician? The answer is that we all want something for nothing, and that is another big lie. There is no such thing as a free lunch!
