UN finally acknowledges Hamas crimes

During the recent conflict in Gaza, all you would read about was the heavy handed response by Israel. Every now and then there would be a brief passing mention of four years of unrelenting rocket attacks into civilian populations in Israel but very little time was spent discussing how this aggression, stalled peace talks and provoked Israel.

One of the reports that was often cited was how Israel attacked a U.N. school filled with refugees. These reports were always done to make it appear like Israel was recklessly attacking innocent civilians. But then Hamas did something that even their apologist in the U.N. could not ignore.

On Thursday, Feb 6th, Hamas gunmen stole hundreds of tons of food intended for Palestinian civilians. In addition to that the U.N. reversed an earlier report that Israel killed 43 civilians while shelling a U.N. school. It turns out that the shelling occurred outside of the facility and was directed at Hamas mortar positions. And finally, the U.N. will investigate the Hamas practice of using children as human shields.

Now it has long been known that Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaida, and the Taliban use women, children, and any other convenient civilians as human shields. They find such reprehensible tactics to be very affective in their propaganda campaigns. The reason it works so well is because the U.N. and western media, has been more than happy to support their cause by reporting these civilians casualties. It would not take much for an honest, non-partisan reporter to find numerous examples of this barbaric practice.

In my opinion, the fact that the U.N. and western media, have been willing participants of this sham, makes them willing accomplices and they should share the blame for the deaths of these civilians. If the world was informed more often of this practice, and then loudly condemned the Islamic hate groups for the practice, then maybe they wouldn't find it such a valuable propaganda tool.
