Democrats lying to us about gun violence in Mexico?
Today Fox news published a report about the use of American made weapons in Mexico. If you have been following the problems along the U.S. Mexican border than you have probably heard a Mexican or U.S. official make the claim that 90% of the guns used in the Mexican drug wars are made in America. But evidence uncovered in the article disputes that claim. The article goes on to say that there are a variety of weapons available in Mexico from all different countries such as China, Korea, Israel, and South America. It also states that a lot of the American made weapons were sold to the Mexican government and they were stolen.
Lets face it. There are very well established smuggling routes all over Mexico. So if tons and tons of cocaine from South America can enter and leave Mexico, why couldn't illegal arms? The fact is that illegal arms from all over the world is just another part of the international drug trade.
But on Wednesday March 25, Hillary Clinton apologized to Mexico saying, "Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the deaths of police officers, soldiers and civilians. So, yes, I feel very strongly we have a co-responsibility." So what can we make about this lie over smuggled guns in Mexico? It means more regulations on legitimate gun sellers and gun buyers in the U.S. It will not keep guns out of Mexico. This is an attempt to take away your gun, not the guns of the Mexican gangs.
