President Obama told us that we needed to spend trillions of dollars to prevent the economy from getting worse than it was, but after spending billions of dollars, many expert believe it would have been better not to spend the money. President Obama said we needed billions of dollars to save Chrysler and GM from going bankrupt and now both companies have done just that. The Chinese have bought the Hummer brand, Fiat owns part of Chrysler, and Obama has given GM to the UAW.

President Obama said that the government needed billions of dollars to buy toxic assets from the banks to save the banking industry. It is my understanding that the government has not purchased any toxic assets. Many banks have changed their minds about accepting government money and interference into their businesses and want to give the money back yet President Obama says they can't. They have to keep the money and the intrusion into their business that the money brings, why?

President Obama campaigned against the huge deficit that President Bush created, claimed it was bad for the country, promised to reduce the national debt, and has grown it to such monstrous proportion that nobody can see where it will end. President Obama said he needed billions of dollars for infrastructure repair to create jobs and to help America compete, yet recently Congress has reported that the national highway fund is broke and will need billions of dollars for needed road repairs. If Congress has already allocated billions for infrastructure repair, why was this important fund overlooked?

The spending of President Obama and the Democratic Congress is piling up a massive debt, and instead of working to get through this crisis and bring spending under control, they are talking about spending trillions of dollars more to take over the health care industry.

The Russian newspaper Pravda, once the mouth piece of the Soviet Unions Communist government says that America is becoming a Marxist state in an article named, "American capitalism gone with a wimper." Can we still trust President Obama? Can we believe what he tells us any more?
