Last February White House Adviser Van Jones speaking to a room full of the Obama faithful answered a question as to why the Democrats were not able to push through legislation as quickly as the Republicans did with a smaller majority. Mr. Jones reply, "Well, the answer to that is, they're assholes." It seems like there is a lot of name calling going on by the leaders of the Democratic party recently. I guess they don't like the fact that not everyone agrees with their agenda. But what I find most disturbing about the attitudes of the Democrats and the Obama administration, is the way they dismiss legitimate questions to their agenda; as if Conservatives are some fringe nut group that does not matter.

So hows is it that the Republicans are holding up the Democratic agenda. Van Jones says it is the Republicans fault because they are a**holes. But why? And what should it matter? The Democrats hold all the cards. They can pass legislation without the Republicans and have threatened several times that they were going to do that. But something is stopping them and that something is fear.

The Democrats know that the legislation they are trying to pass is going to be very unpopular. They know it is going to cause problems in the delivery of health care. They know their programs will cost a lot more than they are saying they will cost. They know that many of their programs are job killers and small business killers. They know the debt they will accumulate will be astronomical. They know that in the end, massive tax hikes on all income levels will be required to pay for their programs.

What they don't want is to be held accountable for their actions. The Democrats don't want bipartisan bills that reflect a compromise to their cherished goals. They want complacent Republicans to go along with their programs so they can point the finger at someone else when things go bad. And the Republicans are not playing ball. That is why the Obama administration is calling them a**holes. As long as the Republicans stand fast the Democrats will be faced with two choices. Either sit down at the table and actually compromise with the Republicans or stand alone force their programs through and then take the heat for the problems they create.

Now you know why the Democrats have not passed their legislation.
