Give Obama credit, he knows the right thing to say
Like many people, my first reaction to the news that President Obama had won the Nobel Peace Prize was, "what, why?" How could he have won this prize when he really hasn't done anything yet? Many people on the radio and on TV were wondering the same thing.
When President Obama came out of the White house to deliver his speech, he addressed that very issue in a very humble way. The speech was perfect and he said everything he needed to say. The only thing left for people to discuss after that was whether he should have declined the award instead of accepted it. Not much for Obama's detractors to hang their hat on.
There is no doubt that President Obama can deliver a speech. There is no doubt that Obama and his team of speech writers can write exactly what people want to hear. I only wish his actions were more in line with his speeches.
