Yesterday, President Obama continued in his attempt to censor Fox News by trying to exclude Fox News from an interview with his pay czar Kenneth Feinberg.

But something happened that helps renew my faith in Democracy. The other 4 major TV news networks refused to attend the interview unless Fox News was allowed to attend. Even though the other news outlets tend towards being Obama supporters they realized that such dictatorial censorship is not good for the country and they banded together to protect freedom of the press.

So even though I am very critical of the main stream media, you have to give credit where credit is due. Maybe this could signal a change in the way media is being reported in the country. Maybe we can once again rely on major news outlets for honest unbiased reporting.

I think that day is along way off but it is heartening to see signs of integrity and concern for the important role that a free and honest press plays in a democracy.
