"Without people feeling the need to work to make a living, sheltered by state regulations that are excessively paternalistic and irrational, we will never stimulate a love for work." - Raul Castro July 18, 2010

An AP news article quotes Raul Castro, the President of Cuba and brother of Fidel Castro. It highlights the economic stagnation that occurs under a communist style economy and how Cuban leaders are trying to think of ways to decentralize part of the economy to get it moving.

It is really amazing how time after time, we see the failures of centralized economies. But Barack Obama and the supposedly brilliant scholars in his administration are doing everything in their power to move the U.S. from a successful free market model to an inefficient centralized model.

It is just like Thomas Sowell says, "Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it."
