How the Democrats Play Politics

On Monday July 19th, President Obama in a Rose Garden speech accused the GOP of playing election politics by refusing to support another Democratic spending bill.  Really?  Imagine the politicians of a political party making decisions based on how voters are going to react in an upcoming election.  No way how could that happen?  The Democratic party would never play politics just before an important election.  Or would they?  Could it be that President Obama's remarks themselves are just a political ploy by the administration and the Democratic party?  Classic Obama, lets play politics by blaming the other side of playing politics.  Actually it is not so much a classic Obama tactic as it is a classic Liberal tactic.  Put your opponent on the defensive by acccusing them of the same things that you are doing.

So how are the Democrats playing politics?  Lets start with the accusation made by President Obama.  The speech was in regard to a $34 billion dollar extension of unemployment benefits.  A typical ploy by the party of entitlements (a.k.a. Democrats).  You see the Democratic party has worked hard to create a population of entitlement recipients.  So whenever an election comes around, the Democrats can say, "If you don't vote for me, you will lose your government provided cheese."  That is why the Democrats, in spite of a deficit that is growing out of control, inspite of the growing alarm about the deficit, have chosen to pile more money onto the debt.  They know that the Republicans will lose their base of fiscally conservative voters if they support another huge spending bill.  In a news article , the Republicans counter that the bill does not include any spending cuts that could offset the extra benefits.

That is part of the Democrats strategy.  They could have compromised with the Republicans and found the spending cuts.  Do you really think that in the trillions of dollars our goverment is spending they couldn't trim a little here and a little there to save $34 billion?  Exactly.  It would be easy to do.  But why compromise with the Republicans when they could not use the image of the big mean Republicans taking money away from the poor innocent unemployed to help them in the next election?  Now who is playing politics with the welfare of our nation?  And by driving our nation furthur into debt, are they not harming us all?  The employed, the unemployed, the student, the retired, everyone is suffering from their reckless power play.  Understand President Obama?  Of course you do.  You know real well that you are playing politics with the nation.

How else are the Democrats playing politics?  Well just recently The Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Democrat, called Congress back from their recess to attend an emergency session.  Her plan is to offer a $26 billion spending bill to help support Teachers and Medicaid.  Is this really an emergency or is Nancy Pelosi, faced with losing her powerfull position as the Speaker of the House, devising a multi-billion dollar, tax-payer funded by the vote bill for the Democrats?  Who is this bill going to help?  The Teachers, or should I say the Teachers Union who can then take the extra dues collected and funnel them back into the coffers of the Democratic party.  Just in time for a tough election.  Oh and don't forget the retired.  A group that is know to vote in large numbers.  Lets help allay their fears of the unpopular Heatlh Care Reform bill by pumping more money in to Medicaid.  This way it will look like they are actually getting a better deal.  Maybe if we can throw a few bennies their way before the election, they will forget how we gave them the shaft in the new health care bill.  Hmmm, playing politics with tax-payer money?  You bet.  The Democrats are drunk with their power and will do anything to keep it.

Is there more?  Of course, this is an election year after all.  The Democrats have been running their most favorite play over and over again.  That is the race card.  One of the best ways for Democrats to keep their power is to create racial tension and racial division in the country.  Call all consrvatives a racist, even if there is no proof of it.  The rules of the big lie are to repeat the lie over and over again with conviction.  Split the country and scare people who are not white into believing that only the Democrats have their interest at heart.  Make them believe that all Republicans are racist members of the KKK.

This play works so well for the Democrats that they are even using it against the moderate Libertarian party and the independent grass root Tea Party.  Why?  Why include moderates into this mix?  Because moderates are opposed to Obama and the Democrats agenda, so you need to create division and disparage anyone who does not agree with you.

Just listen to the Democrats in their election ads.  Are they talking about their role in the Health Care Reform bill?  Are they proudly talking about how much money they spent in the stimulus bill?  Are they telling us how they plan to fix the problems of today and move on?  No, they are saying George Bush is evil.  George Bush did this to you.  Republicans are racist.  Republicans are religious fanatics.  Republicans want you to starve, blah blah, blah.

In other words they are playing politics with your money and your future.  Their only concern is to survive the next election cycle so they can continue their power grab.  Understand President Obama?  Of course you do.  You are after all a very clever politician.
