Yesterday, after reading about a deal brokered by Nancy Pelosi that seemed to have cemented her position as the House Minority Leader, new information comes in. Today I read that Heath Shuler a moderate Democrat has decided to "step up" and challenge Ms. Pelosi. Congressman Shuler admits that it will be hard to unseat Pelosi but he felt that someone needed to try.

How this battle turns out remains to be seen. Will new leadership win in the House? Will the House be ran by politicians willing to compromise and work for the common good? Or will it be business as usual with the same old fatcat politicians in charge?
