Our messed up media
The media is supposed to be the fourth estate, which may explain a lot of the political dysfunction that is occurring within the U.S. Like public education, the main stream media is more concerned with pushing their progressive social agenda than it is with addressing the real challenges that we face. Case in point is a very interesting article from the Guardian in London.
The article is in regard to the recent state visit by China's President Hu Jintao. The article makes a very good illustration of just how poorly the American media covered the event and the issues that matters most to U.S. citizens. I certainly hope that some how the media in the U.S. will wake up and take up the important responsibility that they like to hold up as a halo around their heads. Maybe then they will earn the respect of the country again.
