"So having 12 people that you and I don't even know...determine the economic destiny of the United States of America to me is a complete forfeiture of our responsibilities as members of Congress." - Charlie Rangel

Charlie Rangel House Democrat says that forcing budget reduction talks to a committee is a forfeiture of our responsibility. He has a point. Obviously the partisan bickering is only getting worse. Mr. Rangel would want you to believe of course that this sour mood is all because of the Republicans and especially the Tea Party.

Maybe he is right. After all Mr. Rangel and the other House Democrats know a thing or two about forfeiture of responsibility. Remember 2010? Remember how the House Democrats decided not to pass a budget before the 2010 election? Remember that at the time the Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate. They could have passed any budget they wanted. Problem is, they did not want the American people to see what kind of budget and tax increases they have in mind for us just before an election.

Nope instead they said that the budget process was too complicated and it was better to wait and figure it out. Who was being irresponsible then Mr. Rangel? The Tea Party did what they said they would do while Democrats wanted the American people to ignore their actions and only listen to their campaign lies, oops I meant campaign promises. The truth is that the Democrats will never stop spending. They cannot control themselves...
