Time to suspend Beverly Perdue
Yesterday, Beverly Perdue the Governor of North Carolina made a statement that should be shocking to all Americans. She said, "I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover." If this sounds like something you would hear in a weak Third-World country you would be right? But in the United States of America? When did it become fashionable for politicians to suggest that they should be allowed to ignore the constitution in order for them to "help" the country.
It sounds to me like something Putin would say over in Russia. The media, and the Democrats quickly went into damage control it was just a joke? Seriously? A joke? What kind of person would think that a statement like this from a state governor, given at a public function, would be funny? No this was no joke, it may have been a stupid thing to say, but it was no joke. Was Governor Perdue on a comedy show? Was she at a political roast? No! She was speaking to a rotary club. Of course you will hear the liberal media all get in line, read their agreed to talking points and tell the country, "of course it was an obvious joke." That is their job, to defend the indefensible, in order to protect their beloved Democrats.
Maybe the people of North Carolina should just suspend Governor Perdue, and throw her out of office. Haven politicians like her who feel that making such statements would be funny, are bad for the whole country.
