I belong to the right (the Norwegian right) as well, but you can´t honestly believe that the left wants to drive us all into the abyss? The quote comes from Tammy Bruce. Ms. Bruce's views come from a unique perspective because she once was politically active on the left, having worked on the campaigns of prominent Democrats. So her quotes come from an insiders knowledge of how the left thinks.
But please note the her quote did not say "the abyss." It said "their abyss" which in my opinion is quite different.
As for the blog, it is not on twitter. It is a simple WordPress like blog and should be easy to read by a current browsers.

I guess I´ve become a bit more sensitive to apocalyptic language from the Right after a incident in these parts last June. The Abyss sounds pretty dramatic and gloomy to me. On the other hand no one on the Left have any such qualms.

I understand, it is difficult when discussing any point of view that is controversial or elicits strong emotions and is the bane of any rational discussion whether it is politics, religion, or even sports. There is always the danger of aggravating or inciting the fanatic, whose out of control ego can manufacture, or dredge up any number of grievances to justify their actions.
